Medeco Security Locks, a division of ASSA ABLOY N.A., has announced that “intelligent” installation instructions for many of its cylinder and deadbolt products are now available on the BILT mobile app.
The fully-interactive, voice narrated step-by-step guides simplify installation and shorten the time it takes to accomplish the job.
“We’ve simplified retrofit cylinder installation to a whole new level with the BILT app,” said Joseph Kingma, Medeco general manager and vice president, ASSA ABLOY high security group special projects.
“Now we can guide an installer through a trouble-free installation, plus explain what hardware and tools are needed for each step. The BILT app lets you zoom in, zoom out or rotate the image to see the installation from all angles. We’ve eliminated a lot of the guess-work that’s common with paper instructions, and that can be a real time saver for installers.”
