About the HR and Talent Acquisition Manager Job

BILT’s HR and Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for acquiring the most qualified employees to meet staffing needs and support HR Operational efforts for the company. This position will develop new strategies and programs to attract both qualified internal and external candidates to open positions and ensure a constant pipeline of qualified candidates are available for interviewing. This position works closely with management team on determining best recruiting strategies, forecasting staffing needs, customizing skill and testing requirements, and implementing high quality interviewing selection techniques. The HR and Talent Acquisition Manager will also assist with various other Human Resources duties as needed.

HR and Talent Acquisition Manager Position Responsibilities

  • Enable BILT to meet current and future staffing needs by developing an understanding of our business operations as it relates to employee talent needs and develop, recommend, and implement creative recruiting strategies
  • Design, plan and execute employer branding activities
  • Perform analysis and expedite planned initiatives and activities required to address hiring needs
  • Create and implement KPIs and SOPs to effectively manage the talent acquisition function
  • Maintain HR Compliance and Benefits knowledge
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, and internet sites; provide organization information, opportunities, and benefits; make presentations; maintain rapport
  • Possess knowledge of sourcing techniques using social media and experience using LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Salary.com, Twitter and Facebook to identify and engage talent
  • Maintain strong (and current) knowledge of all laws and regulations pertaining to employment and equal opportunity
  • Build and maintain the candidate pool; keep in touch with applicants to build interest for future openings
  • Plan procedures and processes for improving upon the candidate experience and suggest measure for improving employee retention
  • Effectively support the recruiting needs of the organization by assisting with recruiting strategy development, ad placement, resume screening, interview scheduling, selection process, hiring/onboarding and any additional duties as required
  • Effectively identify and ensure utilization of all available recruiting resources to post positions and proactively source qualified candidates for open positions
  • Measure the time required to fill each position to ensure critical resources are identified and processed promptly
  • Clearly and accurately communicate the company’s employee value proposition to potential candidates while also making sure the team complies to all applicable policies, practices, processes
  • Effectively execute the selection process for all exempt, non-exempt level, independent contractor positions for all departments by ensuring all positions are posted internally; source external candidates, present hiring managers with qualified, pre-screened (interviewed and tested) candidates; and coach managers on selection process and testing tools
  • Ensure background/references checks prior to extending offers
  • Implement and execute the Graduate & Intern program recruiting initiatives by assisting with college recruiting strategy development, participating in the college recruiting selection process and managing program logistics to ensure we are building a steady talent pipeline in alignment with our evolving business needs
  • Create and maintain an effective Applicant Tracking System to ensure job opportunity and applicant tracking in compliance with policies and best practices to ensure OFCCP compliance
  • Execute and manage special staffing initiatives for the organization
  • Stay abreast of talent acquisition trends/best practices and make recommendations to ensure maximum alignment in our processes
  • Perform special recruitment programs/projects as assigned by Human Resources Director (e.g., Hiring Events, Job Fairs, Recruitment Analysis) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist in meeting Affirmative Action objectives by developing and implementing action-oriented programs in support of diversity

HR and Talent Acquisition Manager Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Human Resources or Business) or equivalent combination of education/work experience is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with managing full cycle recruiting efforts in a corporate recruiting environment is required
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of Talent Acquisitions Specialists preferred
  • Ability to travel when required based on the needs of the business

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, photocopiers, email and various communication programs (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
